The ZEISS Primostar 3 iLED microscope offers advanced LED fluorescence microscopy for effective sputum examination, with the ability to analyze structures from 0.2 to 5 μm.
Your LED-Fluorescence Microscope for Sputum Examination
* WHO notes LED fluorescence microscopy is more sensitive and less time-consuming than conventional brightfield for sputum smear microscopy. (See the WHO reference in the flyer.)
ZEISS Primostar 3 iLED helps you visualize small structures down to 0.2–5 µm, including rod-shaped Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Ziehl-Neelsen (ZN) staining with brightfield is the traditional gold standard, and LED fluorescence (e.g., with Auramine-O) provides a sensitive, time-saving alternative.
Quickly toggle between ZN brightfield and fluorescence excitation (e.g., Auramine-O) for TB analysis.
